Mt. Adams...What was I thinking?

So at church on Sunday Lydia listened to the speaker talk about his hike on Mt. Adams and said "I want to do that" so she involved the whole family. Kipp flew out from South Carolina, and we headed for the mountain. Bracan's brother-in-law came with us also. The snow level was so low that it was 2 miles just to the trail head, then another 3 -4 miles to lunch counter, our base camp. We were rained on the entire day, thus soaked, just pass the tree line we had lightening not good when you have metal snowshoes, ski poles, and ice picks in your backpack. So we headed down for cover. Blizzard during the night, leaving 4 inches of snow. No reason to head up cuz you won't see anything anyway. All were sad, Aaron and Kipp decided to have some fun anyway and went sledding in the morning on their sleeping pads. It was a miserable/good time. Pictures coming later.

A little tourism before the big race.

Zion's National Park is a wonder to behold and the picture don't show the grandness of it at all.

Checking out the Finish Line

So looking forward to 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, 26.2 marthon run and look they are both smiling.

My Ironman a Second Time Around

Judd did really well, considering this was the toughest course of any Ironman yet. Even Hawaii. Man the pictures are back wards....
